Mexican Train Dominoes in Tin

Out of Stock

2 to 8 players. Ages 6 and up. $29.99
Try this popular game of dominoes with a very special Train Hub.  The electronic 3D Train Hub toots and chugs when pressed and cleverly holds your dominoes in place during game play.

Be the first player to play all of your dominoes.

Dominoes are played on your train, other player's trains, and the Mexican Train. Each player chooses a colored mini train engine to serve as his marker piece during the game.  One mini train engine is set aside to serve as a marker for the Mexican Train.

Shuffle dominoes face down in the train yard.  Players select their dominoes or box cars and organize them face up. The player with the highest double goes first and places it (the engine) in the center of the train hub.  Each player must begin building his personal train by playing a box car with an end that matches the engine.  Example of a personal train with double 12 in the center of hub is: 12/5, 5/6, 6/1, 1/1, etc.  If he cannot create his own personal train then he must draw until he can begin play, one draw per turn.

Each player plays one tile per turn, the only exception of this rule is when a double is played.  If a player can no longer play on his personal train, he takes his mini train engine from the train station hub and places it on the last box car in his personal train. This signals other players that they may now play on this players personal train.  When the player is able to play on his personal train again, the mini train engine is move back to the the train station hub and other players may not play on it anymore.

If a player has another tile whose end matches the engine, he may begin the Mexican Train on which all other players may play.  Whenever a player plays a box car on the Mexican Train, he gets to depress the center starter engine tile on the train station hub, "Whoo! Whoo!"

When a double is played, the player must then play a second domino to complete the double.  Example: if 9/9 is played then  a 9/4 would complete the double.  If the player cannot complete the double he must draw a box car from the train yard. If this box car is unable to complete the double then the player places his mini train engine marker on his personal train and says pass.  Regular play is suspended until someone completes the double.

When a player is down to his last tile then he must signal other players to that fact or draw two box cars as a penalty.  The player that goes out or has the lowest score (counting pips) is the winner and gets to depress the center hub, "Whoo! Whoo!"
