Overthrow!

2 to 4 players. $19.99

Fast moving dice game of Strategy, Skill, and the Luck of the dice.

Aggression and luck are the basic elements of this game.  The object is to either eliminate all the other players or accumulate 20 gold nuggets.

The game starts with each player receiving 8 gold nuggets (which allow the player to purchase what he wants), 1 defensive (black) die and 1 diplomat.  At each turn the player receives 2 gold nuggets and a chance to purchase any number of offensive, defensive, and diplomatic pawns.  A defensive army pool is used at the beginning of each game to help players win (without the need to purchase) defending (black) die to add to their armies. The players can either try to win these defensive die or attack their opponents.

The defensive die are only used to defend your pot of gold nuggets, they cannot attack.  Likewise, the offensive (red) die can only attack an opponent, they cannot defend your pot.  So you need to plan carefully how you are going to spend your precious gold.

In order to attack, you will need to own at least one offensive die.  The defending player rolls all of his defensive (black) die and adds up the pips.  The attacking player rolls all of his offensive (red) die and adds up the pips.  Obviously, the player with the most dice will have a better chance at winning the roll.  A successful attack has occurred when the points from the offensive die total more that the defensive die.  The attacking player is now paid a bounty of gold nuggets from the defeated player.  The amount is determined by a single roll of a die.  If the defeated player cannot pay the bounty, he forfeits all his nuggets, dice, and diplomats to the winning player and is out of the game.

The Diplomat has a powerful one-time use of either removing one of your opponent's dice (defensive or offensive), getting rid of equalizer, or attacking again.

The Equalizer is a double dice that is used by the defending player to subtract points from the attacking player.  Its use has a price but if luck is on your side, it would be worthwhile.

This dice game has all the gritty strategy of a board game, but lady luck can help or hinder you in your goal to OVERTHROW!
