Fightball is the awesome, real-time card game from James Ernest and Mike
Selinker. It's lightning-fast, strategic, and probably the best real-time game (not
to mention the best sports game) ever. Fightball is illustrated by Eduardo Muller
(Diceland: Deep White Sea) in brilliant colors, and features six teams of fightballers including the Aztecs, the Cruisers and the Texas Wildcats. Each Fightball box contains two
44-card team decks and a 24-card court, everything you need for 2 players. The game is
fast, furious, and more detailed than FALLING or BRAWL, and definitely represents the next level in real-time game
design.
Game Synopsis: A Fightball game consists of 4 quarters. Each quarter begins with a realtime
phase, when both players play their cards as fast as they can into the court. The object is to create
a stack with a player, a ball, and a shot, before your opponent can throw enough blockers in the
stack. If your numbers add up, your shot succeeds, and whoever scores the most points in four
quarters wins the game.

Aztecs vs. The Dark
The newest team in the game meets the oldest in this matchup between the Aztecs and the Dark. The dark
were the original inventors of fightball, and they're the only team from that deadly first season that's still on the
court. The Aztecs, on the other hand, are new to the sport, and no one knows exactly where they came
from. They're led by a mysterious little priest named Huitzilopochtli, who promises them the traditional
Aztec "reward" if they lose.

Cavaliers vs. Team Sport
Meet the two biggest rivals in the game: the all-for-one,
one-for-all Cavaliers and the all-at-once Team Sport. The Cavaliers think Fightball is all about the fight, with
honor, chivalry, great costumes and shouts of "Huzzah!" Team Sport thinks Fightball is all about the
ball, and they're willing to dress like a bunch of fools to
make their point. Like most rivals in the world, they hate each other because they are so much alike.

Texas Wildcats vs. The Cruisers
Who says nice guys finish last? Between the Cuisers and the Texas Wildcats, it's pretty much an even call.
The Wildcats aren't from Texas, but that hardly matters to this gung-ho team of
cheerleading Fightballers. They've got class and looks, and even good manners.
They're matched with the bad boys of Fightball: the Cruisers, a no-good team of greasers, hustlers and
thugs. Watch out, the Cruisers are likely to cheat!
